Blu-Ray Disc Without Pause Between Videos

absonart

Question

I am working on mac (os x 10.6.8) and just purchased Toast 11 Pro. I want to burn a blu-ray disc without pause between videos. If I drag in sound files into a audio project, I can set a pause of 0 to 8 seconds between each track. I now want to be able to do the same, i.e. set 0 seconds between each video file which I have dragged into a video project, so that my films loop endlessly without a black frame. Please advice. Thanks!

hmmm that's bad. In Toast 8 I did this with Video burning to DVD. I dragged the Videos into Toast, sett it to play auto. and continuously. There was no pauses on my DVD with Toast 8. Now I just got Toast 11 Pro so I can burn Blu-ray, why it shouldn't work like it did in Toast 8, I don't understand. There should be some setting for this! Why isn't there? Shouldn't there be? And if not, how can we get them to put this function in?

I haven't seen the pause you're referring to because I haven't burned a Blu-ray video disc. I just bought a Blu-ray player and a Blu-ray burner this past week, so I won't have that excuse pretty soon. Toast 8 and 11 have the same settings for a standard-def video DVD so I'd expect the pause between titles to be the same in that format. It possibly is different from DVD player to DVD player depending on how fast they move from one title to the next. As for Blu-ray, however, I just don't know because that is a different format. My expectation is that at the end of a title the player will freeze the final frame as it searches for and starts playing back the next title. But that is how I've seen it with DVD video and I still need to try it out for Blu-ray. Sorry I don't have any definitive information at this time. I'll get back to you early next week. Have company for the weekend and no time for playing with Toast.

news from support - "I would like to inform you that, using Toast we cannot burn video files in order to play them without any gaps in between. To play the videos in a disc continuously as loop from end to end, you will have to do the setting changes on your disc player. The option to play entire disc over and over as loop, is not available with the software."

However this is not right. I can both add clips without gaps and loop a DVD. I can also loop a BD but there are the stupid gaps in between that I don't want on a BD. Lets see what they reply to my new comment.
