Error Code When Opening Toast

malacca73

Question

I recently started getting an error code whenever I open Toast. It's a Mac error that says, "The disc can’t be used because the disc drive is not supported (error code 0x80020025)" I'm running Lion, but it didn't start happening right away when I upgraded. Is anyone else experiencing this? It also happens sometimes when I try to mount Toast disc images.

That's curious. I suggest trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder and then relaunch Toast to see if that fixes the issue. To access your user library hold down the option key and then select it under the Go menu in the Finder.

I just reinstalled Toast, but I guess I should try trashing everything again, as you suggested. I also corresponded with someone at Roxio about this, and they suggested resetting my PRAM, which I meant to do this morning when turning on my computer, but I forgot. I'll try to remember to do that next time I restart my computer.
