Cybercactus
I purchased Toast 11 in July of this year and have the installer on DVD. Just got an iMac with Lion and it will not recognize Toast 11 DVD to begin install. How to get around this?
tsantee
There shouldn't be this problem so I suspect it is a defective disc. However, you don't need the disc to install Toast 11 (except for the extra Pro-version apps and Blu-ray plugin in if you bought the Pro version). Everything from the standard version is included in the Toast 11.0.4 "update" at Roxio's Software Updates page. Download it and run the installer. Use the registration code that came with your disc. tsantee
Why can't I just download the Pro versions app as the others and use my registration code? That should work for Photoshop Elements and SonicFire Pro but I don't know if the registration codes work with the downloadable versions of Fotomagico and Sound Soap. There is no download for the Blu-ray plugin except through a link provided by Roxio when purchased online. There also may be some music for SonicFire on the DVD that may or may not be available as an online download. I presume you've checked the surface of the disc to see if anything may be interfering with it being read by the laser.
