Hybrid Disc: Mac Custom Background

I've been creating hybrid discs with a customized background/window size on the Mac DMG side. I have several machines that I'm testing the autolaunch on, and each is appearing with a different error.

 

• On 10.5.8 PowerPC, the window sizing cuts off the bottom of the background and shows space beyond the background's right border.
  
• On 10.6.8 Intel, the background is zoomed in so much that I can only see on my screen a few pixels in the top left corner of the background image. My 10.6.8 MacBook Pro autolaunches the window perfectly, however.
  
• On 10.7.1 Intel, the window sizing shows a small amount of space beyond the background's bottom border.
  

 

I'd like to find some way for autolaunched DVDs to fit the window sizing to the background image's border on all my customers' various Mac OS versions. At the very least, I need a solution to the 10.6.8 Intel's zooming issue.

Does it matter which OS you are running with the Mac that creates the hybrid disc? I vaguely remember a trick where you dismount the disc image and then remount it again before burning the disc as a way to get the layout locked in.
