When trying to capture footage from my Wii (I bought a component cable set to use with the Gamecap/make my games pretty) the capture software video is fine, but the audio is all distorted. Specifically the bass is overdriving the sound card (as far as I can tell). When there isn't much bass, the audio is nearly fine but with bass the sound quality goes down the crapper. As well, the sound levels on my computer get super maxed out when looking at the mixer. I've tried lowering the levels as per suggestions in other threads like this, but there's no luck there. I've uninstalled and reinstalled which fixes the issue temporarily, but it keeps cropping back up.
The weirdest part is that the audio on my TV is always fine. Playing the games isn't an issue, it's just trying to record them that doesn't work. I've tried recording in all the available formats, but nothing helps. I have both the console capture software and the PC capture software installed currently.
