Editing Frames Within A Clip

Can anyone tell me how to remove frame(s) within a clip? The only thing I can find that comes close to what I am trying to do is the "Trim" command. But it appears to be limited to deleting every frame outside the set boundaries. It would be nice if the "trim" command allow one to delete frames within the set boundaries instead allowing the parts of the clip remaining to now be join together. Perhaps such a command does exist but I am just over looking it.

There are two ways to remove frames from within a clip depending on the number of frames you want to remove.

 

Trim can only be used to remove frames from the beginning or end of the clip

 

1) If you want to remove 10 or less frames from within a clip, you have to use the Trim method. You can do this by creating a split point at the beginning of the frames you want to remove. Select the clip to the right of the split and you can use the Trim method to remove the required number of frames from the beginning of the clip.

 

2) To delete 10 or more frames, the method 1 can also be used. Another way is to create 2 split points, one at the beginning of the section to be removed and another at the end. The one clip should now be separated into 3 segments. The middle one is to be removed: simply click Delete.
