Output To D Drive

I am sure there is an easy fix for this, but I cannot seem to find it. Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

 

I am using Roxio Creator 2012. I have created a "movie" using the "Edit Video-Advanced" feature (Roxio Videowave). I have pictures, set to music for a Memorial DVD.

 

My options in Output are:

Export As...

Send to MyDVD

 

When I attempt to export to the D drive (blank dvd+r, 16x, 4.7gb, 120min), nothing happens. When I try to re-select the D: drive, it tells me the file is Read-Only.

 

I have exported to my c: and then tried to burn it to the DVD, but it tells me that some of the features may be lost.

 

What is the best way to go about creating/burning this DVD?

You cannot use Export As to a DVD. It will only export to a file.

 

If you want to burn to DVD you should use "send to DVD". the program myDVD will then open and you can create a menu for your project and then burn to DVD.

I have been trying to do this as well, now MyDVD is saying

What does THAT mean?!?! grrrr...so frustrated.

How long in time is your project? That error message indicates that there may be problem with your project.

One thing to try is to switch the render mode in Tools/Options from hardware to software or vice versa.

 

Instead of burning directly to DVD, uncheck "burn to disc" and check mark either "create image" file or "folder-Set. You can then use "burn Image to disc" or Video Copy & Convert to burn the image file or Video_TS folder to the DVD. Many users have reported better success by separating the encoding and burning processes.
