Do I need a software upgrade? Does your VHS-to-DVD box show the Windows & ompatibility logeo on the box? Some information on what is happening would really help. Some information on what is happening would really help. "My car won't start" does not tell us much. I don't have the box anymore, just the install CD and video capture USB. If it would help, I'll check the date when I registered it. My purchase may have pre-dated Windows 7. Back to you in a minute or two.

There are some numbers on the paper I keep with the CD, though --- maybe you can tell what product I have. Besides my CD Key and TSID#, there are: P/N 150332-ooUN and "Easy VHS to DVD/UN, WM850A3036." Does this help? Further info: When I try to install I get error code 0652. Perhaps this will help (link) identify the version The error code seems to be related to an anti-virus interfering with the installation but it may also be becausee of incompatibility of the software and the Operating System. Turn off you anti-virus during install and see if you still get the error message.

Look at your disc in My Computer, open/explorer.
big band
Look at your disc in My Computer, open/explorer. You're right --- I DON'T see those files. What does that mean --- do I need to upgrade or something?
cdanteek
You're right --- I DON'T see those files. What does that mean --- do I need to upgrade or something? Look close at the files that show on each versions disc? Now look at your disc, what one matches?
big band
OK, I still get the error message when I turn off anti-virus and I don't have the files that apparently are included in updated versions. Are there downloads available to make my version compatible with Windows 7?

Are there downloads available to make my version compatible with Windows 7? Why don't you post a screen shot of the disc directory or at least post the list that does show? There are no updates to make an "old" version compatible with W7.

bimicher
OK, here it is. I see the date 2008 on several of the files. It's obvious you have the first version, good only with XP and Vista and not compatible with W7.
cdanteek
OK, here it is. I see the date 2008 on several of the files. You have the first version XP and Vista compatible. You would be better off buying the full C2012 Pro version and use your USB Device with it. It will do the same as Easy VHS to DVD using C2012 Pro's media import.
