Roxio Game Cap Help!

My roxio game cap has been acting weird recently. When after recording it makes voice sound higher or lower pitched and most of the time you can't understand them. It also happens to background music. Also it sometimes speeds up audio and slows down visual or vice versa. I've checked the cable and it is a bit bent and looks damaged, but my ps3 is against a wall on a shelf and if i move it any more it will probably fall off. Please help

 

Also when i record it should come out in full hd? well my computer isn't hd and my recoridngs aren't coming out in hd. However window live movie maker makes the picture a tiny bit more clear. How can i make it full hd without a full hd computer? thanks.
