0 Michael Video
Recently, after replacing the windows xp C drive (system drive) with a windows 7 C drive, I've reinstalled Roxio DVDIt 6.4 Pro HD from its original CD, which I bought 4 years ago, to this windows 7 computer. The installation was good, however; during the activation of DVDIt 6.4, it showed an error message, “Unsuccessful Activation. There was a problem activating your product. This could be due to: Invalid product key". Is this the compatibility problem between windows 7 and DVDIt 6.4? DVDIt 6.4 Pro HD worked great on my windows xp computer. I have contacted the Roxio Support Team. Unfortunately, they don’t support this product anymore. Please help if anyone have tips or experience. Thank you very much in advance. 0 Michael Video
Hi Ogends, Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, DVDIt 6.4 Pro HD is not at Roxio supported products list anymore. 0 Brendon
Apparently it costs money to keep 'activation servers' running, so they're taken off-line once support for the product finishes.
0 Michael Video
Thank you very much for your help. Finally, I fixed the problem accidentally. I never know that there are two different activating numbers for DVDit Pro HD. One is a CD key #, which is located inside the CD box. I can use it to activate DVDit Pro HD at windows XP computer only. Another one is a SN, which is at my register page on Roxio web site. I can use it at windows 7 computer. Both are 17 digit numbers. Hi,
Purchase a 6.4 upgrade and it wont activate, gives me "invalid product key".
I installed the same file on another machine and it activated just fine.
Anybody know how to fix this?
Clean install of XP Home SP3.
My old copy of 6.3 will not even run on this machine, just displays the splash screen and dies.
It will also install and activate on another machine just fine.
Anybody know how to fix this?
Thanks
As of this morning it activates. Perhaps the activation server was down.
