Please help. When i launch the program and click on record dvd, it opens up my webcam and starts the webcam. I can not see the video. Any suggestions.

Disable the webcam.

1. Open Device Manager

2. Click on the Imaging devices

3. Right click on the Webcam device

4. Select Disable

Contact the manufacturer if this does not help.

Hi, having the same problem. When i disable the webcam, it gives an error message saying 'failed to convert resource to object'. The program closes down. So, the webcam is interfering.

Roxio

---------------------------

An unknown error has occurred. The application will shut down now.

Exception:

Failed to convert resource into object.

OK

What happens when you disable the webcam first then open your Easy VHS to DVD software?

Thanks for the update. Installed it and tried the program with the webcam on and with the webcam disabled, but still got the same error message.

There is somehting else going on. I have a Dell XPS Studio 15 with a built in web cam and I do not get any kind of error.

Tell us more about your computer - make and complete model number (look on the bottom of the laptop).

What about the condition of your hard drive - how big, how much used, last time defragged etc.

Laptop works fine. About 3 years old.

It's a HP Probook 4510s

Hard drive capacity 296GB

Used space is 44.4GB

And you did maintenance and updates when?

Go here for driver updates. The video device is very important for any video work. I would have pointed you to the newest driver but I did not remember that you had posted your OS or not.

BTW, what version of the program do you have. Does it show that it is W7 compliant (if you are using W7)?
