So i bought the software today to create a clan video and now i find it wont run on BF3 as you can see i more than meet Minimum System Requirements:

 

 

Microsoft Windows® 7, YES have w7 home

Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon x2 64 2.0 GHz, 2GB RAM YES have a i7 @ 4ghz

DirectX® 9.0c compatible graphics card or higher, sound card YES have a GTX480

2GB free hard drive space for installation. 10+ GB free recommended for video recording. YES

Windows Media Player 11 or higher YES

Internet explorer 7 or 8 YES

Internet connection required for capture, registration, product updates and tutorials. YES

 

 

so does not mention anything about not recording in DX10 or DX11 will this be updated if not can i return it for a refund as i am only a Battlefield gamer?

 

If i new this earlier i would not have purchased the product please advise as i follwed the guide lines from here before purchase http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/game-capture/pc/overview.html and nothing is mentioned in the video about dx9 only ?

 

Will this be updated for modern games as most games are now DX10 or DX11

This question has been asked before. Your computer is OK BUT bf3 runs only on DirectX 8. ( is not an upgrade; it is a different technology. Check the Bf3 web site for comfirmation.

 

This was for the previous version but it may be the same for your version. Google for bf3 and DirectX and you will see a lot of issues and even some suggestions.

 

Note that I have several versions of DirectX on my computer and there is no problems with DirectX. I do not have DirectX 9. Was it installed when you installed the program. IS it on your computer? Did bf3 wipe out DirectX 9c? Try reinstalling the program after you have installed bf3 and don't let bf3 delete 9c.

 

Re: Refund. If you bought it within 30 days from the Roxio on-line store, contact them to get your money back. I fyou bought it at a big box store, contact them. They may take it back. I was able to vonvince Fry's to take back a piece of software when I could prove it was outdated and wouldn't work because of a similar issue. Hopefully you'll have the same convincing story.

As I see in Your signature You have 2 pcs and both are windows 7 means You have direct X11, but You said You have earlier than dx9, how is that possible? Or I have missed something?
