Colour Correction

joca

Question

In videowave there is a colour adjuster manual or auto with sliders + or - apart from the obvious just what does this function achieve and how do you use it. I often look at it but I am slightly dubious of trying it because (1) I don't know what it does and (2) I don't want to spoil my production. blink.gif

Try it out for yourself on a small temporary production. That way you will get first-hand results without spoiling your other production.

OR

Wait until you've finished your production before you start tinkering with other things.

OR

Download and read the Creator 2011 Manual, from HERE.

Something not in the manual... it only apples adjustments to the portion of the Clip you have selected :o

For example I have split this clip and the small portion is selected (active). I want to 'lighten' the Olympia to make up for my bad photography:

In this one, I have adjusted to bring up the Olympia (at the cost of the clouds):

But if you click on the Auto Color, it will make a one blanket adjustment throughout the production - not always what you want ;)

And keep in mind if you Save, your adjustments are only in the Production File (dmsm). Your original clips are not affected in any way!

Thank you that all makes sense, so really it is not something that will enhance a production only if it is a poor image.
