Burning Video Files To Br-D

woodbine

Question

I am using BR-D's to archive video files and distribute video files to end-users.

The files are all ProRes.

I burn the disc using the Mac/PC setting to make them compatible, but one end-user who has a PC, had problems with getting the video files to play once he had transferred them off the disc.

He says he copied them successfully to his PC, but three out of the four files, stopped playing at around 4:40. The audio went to white noise and the video to black. This happened in Premiere Pro and in QT. The fourth file just will not play.

He tried same files on a MBP with QT10 and same result.

He doesn't have a BR player to transfer the files direct to his MBP.

The originals play fine on my MacPro.

I am using an LG external burner and TraxData disc.

So far I haven't had any other complaints and all the archived disc play back fine on my machine.

I am just wondering if anyone here has had similar issues with BR-D's burned for PC playback.
