How To Convert Tivo Format To Dvd

Question

I have been trying to take a TIVO recording and convert it to a DVD I can play in a DVD player

I have the Tutorial "Convert Your TIVO Shows" and follow it OK to the end - After I have converted the TIVO recording and are ready to burn to a DVD, the instructions say "save file as DVD" from drop down menu, but the only choice I have is "save file to" So I save the file to a location on my computer. From that saved file, I have tried burning as DVD that did not work.

What am I missing?

You left out an important detail. How are you trying to burn the video to the DVD, ie, what program from the C2012 suite are you using? If you did not use myDVD or Video Copy & Convert then you will never create a DVD that can play on a DVD player.

Using Video Copy and Convert, the TIVO file is converted and saved to my computer. I take that file and burn a DVD from it. I can't find a converted TIVO program to see its file name, sorry, I will try again tonight.
