Dvditprohd Has Run Out Of Free Activation Code?

IVP

Question

I bought DVDitPROHD a few years ago and have been using it for DVD and BD-R creation to good effect Today I tryed to run it and an activation code is now needed? I activated it when it was bought - when I try to use the on line activation it reports serial number not valid

I had initial errors and they were sorted out By Scott and I have no issues since -

The only thing that has changed recently is my CPU from a quad 2.4 ghz to a quad 3.0 ghz

Please help

I have come to rely on this software now and will be behind in my work if I cant get it to run

win xp32bit pro

Many thanks

Cath

I do a lot of different DVDs with DVDit, but basically I like to creat a DVD that has not menu. The video starts playing when the disc is inserted. Then I place chapters through the video, so the viewer can jump through the video by pressing the next button on his remote. Then when the video reaches the end it stop.

Pressing the play button will restart the DVD.

I use this format for most of what I do. Dance recitals, business videos, etc. By not having a menu, it saves someone from having to press a button. Also if I have a lot of chapters, like a dance recital, it makes it easier to get to a dance rather than selecting several menus and then selecting a chapter.

I have also created interactive DVDs where menus are placed in a section of the video and the user can select several choices of where to go. This is used in training DVDs. Ask a question and then user selects an answer. If the answer is correct it moves to the next subject. Answer wrong and it goes back to the beginning of that section to retrain or re ask the question.

Sometimes I start with a video that precedes a menu.

I've also had videos with several language tracks and commentary tracks.

DVDit just has a lot of flexibility and once I learned the program I found all kinds of things it could do and with very few settings required.

Thanks for replying. Some of it but not all can be done with the current DVD burning stand alone program. I'm afraid that you won;t get the DVDIt program to run with the newer operating systems.

With the current Roxio programs - say Creator NXT, you can create a DVD with no menu but with chapters that are manually reachable; those DVD restart automatically. You can have a first run video that starts playing as soon as you put the DVD in a player. You can have several audio tracks but only one at a time.

As for the training videos, have you looked at TechSmith's "Camtasia Studio"? It is great for interactive processes with our without screen capture. Watch the videos. Don't let the price scare you; you can usually get older copies much cheaper. It sound like you are a commercial/professional so you can write it off as a business expense.

Did you ever get in touch with someone from Roxio/Corel (Roxi-Ralf or other) to see what that person can do for your? Send him a private message.

I'm afraid I can't add any more to this thread. Good luck !

Does anyone know if DVDit HD Pro 6.3 will run on Windows 10? I was given a new product key but when I try and install the program I'm receiving the following error.

INTERNAL ERROR 2753

DRVINS64.EXE D369970D_84F1_4034_AD04_376E78E04

B9D

I was not able to copy and paste this error so I wrote it out and typed it here. I'm never sure if I reading "0"s or "O"s when I see errors on the screen.

I'm still waiting to hear back from tech support about the meaning of this error. I thought that maybe someone here might be faster with an answer and a reply.

I had the same problem last week, support told me that they can't help me because my version 6.4 was purchased before Win7 compatibility and they said to solve my problem I need to purchase a new version 6.4 which is Win7 compatible

so I solved the problem myself by wiping the C drive with a Win7 image that I created 2 weeks earlier, all good again

why should I buy a new version when I already have 6.4? why can't they supply a free update, since the new version is also 6.4, very strange product support

I tried this and got a message that it required a 25 digit key. DVDiT pro hd has a 17 digit key. I am reinstalling after a system crash.

1)Send an e-mail to Support explainining your problem. Inside your workstation there is a file, named sarlicense9 (hidden files), with your ancient configuration! So, you can not activate because the Roxio's server don't know your new configuration. Support must give you the permission to delete this file and permission to do a new activation.Sometimes ago I had the same situation! All is running very well!!!

2) You can try this http://activation.ro...me/Default.aspx

but I am not if this works. Maybe...Good Luck!!!

This is the message I ment to quote.

I fixed the problem accidentally. I never know that there are two different activating numbers for DVDit Pro HD. One is a CD key #, which is located inside the CD box. I can use it to activate DVDit Pro HD at windows XP computer only. Another one is a SN, which is at my register page on Roxio web site. I can use it at windows 7 computer. Both are 17 digit numbers.

MPPais - and others thanks for the help!

After a busy time I have built up a fair amount of Blu-ray orders I have been putting them off for a while.....

Anyway, I have upgraded my pc to Win 7 64 bit and I am hoping DVDit pro HD will work on my new pc

Is this a try it and see situation - I can see NO support or patch for use with WIN 7 64 at all - any pointers would be great!!

Thanks in advance

Are Roxio still helping us users out?

I cannot activate DVDit HD 6.3 nor 6.4.

When I try to activate 6.4, I get an invalid serial number error message. I have used this serial# for years until now. I received 6.4 directly from Sonic/Roxio.

When I try to activate 6.3, it simply refuses.

I had to do a clean install of Windows 7 x64, because of a looming hard disk drive failure

Thanks

Roxio no longer has DVDit listed as one of their product and thus is no longer sold. That also probably means that they no longer support it and so they may have shut down the activation server.

I figured that had abandoned DVDit years ago. I never thought that i would actually run out of activations! I paid several hundred for this excellent program and cannot use it anymore.

Can anyone recommend a replacement [besides Adobe Encore DVD]?

Thanks
