1:41 Remaining On Disc

shekky

Question

i record a three hour radio show using spin doctor 2 every week. i know there are newer versions available but i am perfectly happy with what i have...until now.

until now, i've had no problems until my recording stopped a little over an hour in to the show today due to a lack of space/time remaining on the disc.

i never save any files to my desktop...they go straight to itunes and converted to MP3's. i have 120GB remaining on my hard drive as well.

having read the few topics regarding this issue, it seems as if nobody has any idea of what this problem is.

have a look at my screenshot please, and tell me what you can.

Spin Doctor writes to a special place on your start-up hard drive while recording. It erases that file after you've saved the recording to another location and quit Spin Doctor. I don't know if your version of Spin Doctor has a preference to change the location for that scratch file. None of this matters if you have 120 GB of space available on the hard drive because you'll run into the file size limit long before you run out of disc space. Spin Doctor should tell you how long a recording can be in its window before you start the recording. If nothing I've written gives a clue as to why you're encountering this problem this one bewilders me. You might try trashing the application's plist file.
