Windows 7 Issues

Wasim Ismail

Question

Hello everyone,

I recently got a new computer with Windows 7.

I then installed my Roxio DVDit Pro HD and saw this warning about the driver not having a digital signature. I installed it anyhow.

I tried using the software and all was fine. I tried to burn the DVD in the end and it would stop and give an error right before it starts burning the DVD.

After this, I even tried to burn a DVD using Windows DVD Maker and the same problem happened.

It seems that the Sonic driver is not compatible and it somehow screwed up my original driver that came with the new DVD burner.

Anyone have any suggestions or encountered the same problem?

Roxio support told me after a lot of different attempts that it is not compatible with Windows 7.

What makes no sense is that the website does say it is compatible Vista both 32 bit and 64 bit.

Mine is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Thanks for any help.

I have Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (64bit) and DVDit! HD Pro works very well in my workstation!

I edit with Edius 6.06 and I export compatible files to DVDit! who don't need to encode them.DVD it! HD Pro don't love to transcode...

You must export your files (video and audio) according project settings that you before authoring must choose.

Finally, I fixed the problem accidentally. I never know that there are two different activating numbers for DVDit Pro HD. One is a CD key #, which is located inside the CD box. I can use it to activate DVDit Pro HD at windows XP computer only. Another one is a SN, which is at my register page on Roxio web site. I can use it at windows 7 computer. Both are 17 digit numbers.

Hi there,

Please share how did you activate DVDit Pro HD once installed on windows 7. I have the same problem.

Recently, after replacing the windows xp C drive (system drive) with a windows 7 C drive, I've reinstalled Roxio DVDIt 6.4 Pro HD from its original CD, which I bought 4 years ago, to this windows 7 computer. The installation was good, however; during the activation of DVDIt 6.4, I got an error message, “Unsuccessful Activation. There was a problem activating your product. This could be due to: Invalid product key".

Is this the compatibility problem between windows 7 and DVDIt 6.4? Please help. Thank you very much in advance.
