In the basic off the disc install of the Roxio Capture Device software, there was a handy little feature for previewing audio. The best part is you was able to mute the preview without muting the audio in the capturing process. Because you could manual do that via the "recording devices" in the basic Windows volume control setting.
Now since the new Dec 2011 update, it seems to be have been removed without notice. The new volume button doesn't let you mute the preview of the audio it just controls it, And it isn't controlling the preview audio anymore....it is controlling the basic input volume levels.
Example: if you turn down the volume on the capture software now, it lowers the volume input from your console. before it would just lower the preview of the audio.
I think this is a huge step in the wrong direction, i rather have the preview audio feature because windows along comes with a basic level controller via the Volume settings.
