I'm thinking of buying a new system to use with Creator 2012.

The price is $600 and includes a monitor

How would you folks rate the following specs?

 

Processor and Memory:

 

AMD Phenom™ II 830 Quad-Core Processor 2.80GHz

AMD 785G Chipset

2MB L2 Cache + 6MB Shared L3 Cache

4000MHz System Bus

8GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM memory (4 x 2GB for ultimate performance)(expandable to 16GB)

 

Hard Drive and Multimedia Drives:

 

1TB 7200RPM Serial ATA hard drive

SuperMulti DVD Burner with LightScribe Technology

Write: 16x max DVD±R, 12x max DVD±R DL, 8x max DVD+RW, 6x max DVD-RW, 12x max DVD-RAM, 40x

Max CD-R, 32x max CD-RW

Read: 16x max DVD-ROM, 40x max CD-ROM

ATI Radeon™ HD 4200 integrated graphics

Up to 3067MB Total Available Graphics Memory as allocated by Windows 7

The integrated graphics is a down side for video work.

 

It is a desktop PC?

 

Buy a dedicated video card.

Looks OK but do you need that monitor?

For some people, the bigger the better. Just like myself. :)

What do yiu have that is bigger and better. Put your computer specs in your signature so other people who have similar computer can ask you for real help.
