I purchased Roxio Creator 2012 (orange box, no mention of Pro or SE) and installed it on a new Dell XPS15 (L502X), since the laptop came with a Blue Ray reader/writer. When I installed Roxio I was advised that DirectX had to be uninstalled and I agreed. Why does DirectX have to be uninstalled? I started having the dreaded blue screen memory dump error messages and system shut downs. Did I do the wrong thing in allowing DirectX to be uninstalled? I have completely re-loaded the system and I am afraid to re-install the Roxio Creator 2012. Please help me understand why Roxio Creator 2012 installs differently from 2011 (I have 2011 on my desktop) and how I can safely install 2012 on my laptop.
