Downloads Interrupted - Need Alternate Site

Question

Just purchased Roxio Creator 12 Pro download, but my first two machines were too slow and I immediately terminated. After start on machine 3, I elected to disable download of "content"...but got error that I was allowed only 3 attempts and now I was cut off. Instructed to "email support for help". I have a project to burn today and need to get the software somewhere and plug in my key. No response to emails to Roxio customer service yet...and no real people can be accessed on phone. Really upset that this 3 attempts thing is never mentioned til after you reach it. Is there another site I can at least download software and then put in my key I got with online purchase? Thanks.

Contact Digital River; the people handling the download. You should have the proper information on the e-mail exchange you had with them.

BTW, there is information related to the number of downloads; perhaps you missed it. You may want to pay for a disc or an extended download - probbably none of which will help you here. They limite the number of downloads so thaqt peoplke don't share or put the program on mulitple computers.

 

It is not your computer that is the slow download; it is your internet and the WWWeb traffic.

Thanks...had already tried that. Tried again and still no luck...they still do not have my order in their online records yet. I have abandoned the Roxio approach and completed the project with a competing software. Will try Roxio someday when they get back to me and fix the access to the download. Thanks for the suggestion.

Solved problem by using Roxio Support "Chat". The agent immediately reset the counter and I am downloading now. I would add that the reference to 3 download attempts limit is extremely obscure...and not displayed prominently anywhere in the purchase process. Three attempts can quickly be used up by changing your mind after you see the download time...and backing up and changing what options you wish to download, changing internet providers, etc. I should have started on my fastest internet connection of the several options I have. Had Roxio made a prominent representation that only three attempts are allowed...I would have been more careful in the initial selections.
