Creator 2012 Installation Interrupt At Direct X 9 Runtime

WDB

Question

Purchased CREATOR 2012 and tried to install. Installs to DirectX9 Runtime ...and hangs. Several minutes after it simply kicks out and reports an Interrupt error then rolls back with nothing installed. I am using a Dell Inspiron 620 ; Windows 7 Home Premium SP1; 6G ram; Intel Corei5 CPU ; 64Bit

I have tried loading from a different User Account, Turned off all other sofware i.e. Executed Msconfig and disable all softwae to ensure nothing will interfere with the installtion.

I have Updated DirectX but it reported no need to update....already updated.

Ran Virus Checks to ensure the machine is not infected. Good.

Looked at the Register and it reports Directx Version 4.09.00.0904

Uploaded my last installion log file.

Corresponding with Roxio with no success.

If anyone may have had this problem and has found a solution, I would appreaciate your reply.

Thanks

I read the suggested post.

First Link: Downloaded and ran DirectX update...

The Second link in the post is invalid. Any suggestions on where to safely download setup356B40A.zip?

Thanks

Sorry, try this suggestion.

You don't need to download that zip file. That was intended for an older version of Creator.

1. Install using command

setup.exe DisableProducts=DIRECTX_FEB10 Mandatory=0

2. When prompted to download update. Select No (important)

3. After install finishes download and install DirectX separately
