Installing Creator 2012 Pro

EileenTN

Question

I have been trying to install above program for two days. Have seen some others with same problem, but mine seems to stop at different points. Will attach the latest log file. The first one was 54 pages long! But this one is only 6. I am running Windows XP Home Edition, version 2002 Service Package 3; HP Pavillion Pent 4 CPU 3.00GHz; 3.00 GHz, 3.11 GHz RAM.

It seemed to roll back at the CiniPlayer part this time. It did give me a couple messages when it started to install: Source File Not Found: F:\BACKONTRACK_39\BOT/.msi Verify that the file exists & that you can access it. I clicked the OK button and it went on.

Second message that appeared was: The following products are not supported on current operating system. These products will not be installed. Roxio System Rollback Recovery Disk. I clicked OK and it went on.

Seemed to install up to the Cini Player and then stared the roll back.

Thanks for any help.

Eileen

Sonic Boom is a Roxio employee and a installation specialist that stops in here often.

I would wait for his help but it is the weekend, maybe tomorrow.

The log file doesn't help me much. It is a log for DIVX and not the installation. Check this

Sounds like you are having read issues from the media. Have you tried copying the files to the hard drive?

Thanks, when I went to the link you gave me and went to where it showed, there are a lot of files in that log area, some from back on track, some from prior versions of Roxio (which I thought I had removed all together), so wondered if you wanted me to zip them all or just the ones for Roxio 2012.

I just went and tried copying from the DVD to the hard drive and it did a lot, but then stopped and said:

Cannot copy 1031: Data error (cycle redudancy check).

Thank you very much for your help. I actually tried to talk myself out of buying 2012 because I never could get 2011 to work and had to back track to 2010. Probably time for a new computer...but then I read that someone had a new one they couldn't get it to install on.
