According to this,which comes from a Sharp UK page there should be a Component in on that set.

Other than that the only thing you could try is using a Component to HDMI converter device.

This has to be a piece of electronics.There is no Component to HDMI cable.

Hi, so i recently bought a Roxio Game Capture and was in the middle of setting it up when i realised my tv has no component input, is there any way to still use the Roxio, oh and my tele is a Sharp 40-SH340K

Most TV's nowadays don't have Component inputs and use the vga/pc connection instead , You will need to buy one of these THESE

 

In this model the VGA connection is used for the Audio, which is explained in the user manual on page 12.( http://www.sharp.co.uk/cps/rde/xbcr/documents/documents/om/11_lcd-tv/LC40SH340K_OM_GB.pdf ).

I think that's not an accurate statement.

I work at a place where we do a lot of TV installs and most of the sets we install have Component inputs.

Sure we use HDMI as the preferred input but the sets still have the Component inputs available.

 

It's also the norm to not have separate inputs for Audio L/R for the analog inputs.There may be multiple ins for the audio but they are just shared no matter the video input.
