Roxio Cineplayer® With 3D And Bd

I do not see a specific catagory for CinePlayer so here goes.

I purchased the full CinePlayer BD with 3D 5.6.1 and loaded it on a computer I am building for a friend. I have the ASUS Black 12X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA Internal Blu-ray Drive Model BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS - OEM

installed as the drive. We are running 8GB RAM with an AMD Phenom II 1090T processor and a XFX HD-667X-ZWF4 Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card.

When I put a disk in the drive, nothing happens. When I attempt to recognize the drive from within the software, nothing happens. I can play DVD's all day long.

I have only tried this with a Rocky BD.

 

Any thoughts??

Is this a new purchase and where did you purchase it?

 

Roxio only shows one CinePlayer on their website 'Roxio CinePlayer® with 3D' here http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/cineplayer/standard/overview.html

 

It's not BD Blu ray player!

I ordered it from a link at "Top 10 Reviews" http://blu-ray-player-software-review.toptenreviews.com/cineplayer-bd-review.html.

After digging deepter and contacting them, they admitted that their listing is a mistake and the will drop it. Regardless, I have been charged and Roxio doesn't have a record of the order, even though my PayPal acct shows DigitalRiver US Inc as the recepient of the payment.

 

A total Cluster.

I went to "www.findmyorder.com" and entered the order number from the reciept from Roxio that I printed after the sale.

The site can't find the order. I have submitted an email to customer support.

We will see.

Should the worse happen, I will open a case with PayPal.

1-877-793-7480 (Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., EST - excluding Roxio holidays) .

I called the number and all i get is recordings. I tried some of their "suggestions" to no avail.

I can not get a person to talk with and my email request for help has so far been ignored.

Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions?

Did you check you e-mail spam folder? Sometimes the e-mail from Roxio is diverted there.

 

Did you call during Roxio business hours?

I just got off the phone with support. Aparently yesterday at 3:00 pm their servers went down and continue to be down with no estimated time they will be up.

I just have to wait.

Wr have been working this all day yesterday and there has been progress made though we are not 100% yet. If you can't get help by Monday morning (we're off for the weekend), let me know.

As of Sat 2-25 the servers are up and my refund was processed.

Too bad Roxio does not sell BD player software.

IMO the constant encryption key updating had to cost $$$ again, and again, and again. :rolleyes:
