Burning Cds With More Than One Track

Question

Hello

I am using Roxio Creator 2011. I am attempting to burn a CD with an audio recording broken up into 12 separate tracks. The recording is 40 minutes long. I have used Roxio to split it into short 3-4 minute tracks. Everything works fine until I choose the option to burn. Then I insert the new CD-R into my laptop. At that point Roxio does not recognise the CD and asks me to insert a new blank CD. I have changed the CDs which I am using from new Maxell CD-Rs to new Mirror CD-Rs. Neither works. Yet when I attempt to burn CDs with a single track, using Roxio, I have no problems at all creating CDs. I am baffled. Can anyone help me?

Thank you.

Hello again

Very many thanks for your help. How do I split my 40 minute recording into tracks using "Create Music Disk Projects?"

George

Perhaps the easiest way would be to split using "Edit Audio" If there is enough silence between tracks, you can do the split automatically and make final adjustments before outputting them to files. If you are not going to make a mix, you can also make a simple cd from there.

Hello again

Thank you both for your help. I don't know how I can use "edit audio" in "Music Disc Creator" to split my recording into tracks. It is a sermon which I am attempting to split. There are no silences between the segments. I can split up the recording in "Edit and Transfer: Edit Audio" but how do I get the tracks from there to "Music Disk Creator?"

Sorry to disturb you again.

Did you look at the screen captures?

Save the pieces to audio files and then use Music disc creator. Are you just going to make a simple cd out of the clips? Do it directly from Sound Editor.

From Sound Editor, just select to "Export Tracks/Clips and select to export clips. clips.

Hello again

Thank you for your patience with me. Now when I go into "Audio CD - Burn Setup" I only have "save disk image file." I cannot press "OK" to attempt to burn. This option was there 45 minutes ago. I don't know what I have done. All that I want to do is create a simple audio CD with 10-12 tracks (3-4 minute segments of a 40 minute sermon).

You are very kind.
