DavidAlcorn
I just downloaded Roxio (basic) and tried to rip a CD to my PC. It ripped the tracks but refers to the title as unkown. I tried a second CD and the same thing. Any thoughts on how I can resolve this? Also if I just want to rip music to my Windows Media Player do I need to use Roxio? For all chat not related to CD/DVD burning software. No Roxio discussion here! Chat about anything in life that interests you or just stop by to say hi. Posts that do not belong here will be removed. You mention a Roxio (basic) you just download, from where? What is the real name and version # of the software because there is no basic to download! No one can help if you don't post enough information to trouble shoot.
tbrewst
The answer to your 2nd question is no,you can rip tracks with WMP by itself. It doesn't do as good of a job but it will work.

Sorry I thought I was in general chat. Roxio just appeared when I inserted the CD so I Googled it and seemed appropriate, but now I think I don't need it. I'm quite new to all of this so apologize for not having the forum etiquette down.

I'm not opposed at all just trying to figure this out as I have little experience with this.

We can't recommend staying with 'it' until you tell us what 'it' is, nor can we tell you how to fix your problem - name and version number of the software, please.
