Having Issues With File Size.

Kpress

Question

Got my Gamecap today and hooked it up and it worked perfectly. Recorded a few videos, rendered them, and everything. Then when I went back to record tonight I was recording in AVI and at the 1 minute mark the file size was already like 1gb. So I then tried it in DivX and at the one minute mark it was like 25mb. Checked all the settings and everything was the same.

Computer I use.

Dell Inspiron 14

Windows 7

Pentium Dual Core T4400 @ 2.20ghz

4GB memory

What is your actual question or problem?

Just seemed to me that those files were abnormally large. I initially though I was having trouble but watched one of the tutorial videos that came with the roxio software and noticed with DivX he recorded a 20 second video with a length of a little over 10mb. When I did it I got the same result. So evidently I do not have an issue. Just couldn't believe the size of the files.

Hard drives including external ones are relatively inexpensive. What computer are you using?

Space is not an issue. I have several external hard drives. I was just initially concerned I had something wrong but I'm pretty sure what I'm experiencing is normal.

Thanks for the response.
