How To Record With Svideo? Exporting In 720X480P For Wmv?

MG2Prime

Question

I don't see the option to record with the svideo cable. Also I don't see a option for exporting in 720x480 wmv but it has 320x240 and 640x480 for wmv. MPG2 and MP4 have the option to export at 720x480 if there is a option for 720x480 wmv it could you please help me.

in the 201B software, it automatically senses Compsite or S-Video depending on which one you have connected. With S-Video though, you must connect the White/Red for the audio portion just like composite ;)

I don't have access to my 201B version at the moment (I will check on it) but make sure you have Options selected and see what is available for WMV???

Just had a look, you are correct, it is not available in that format.

It is available as mpeg2 or mpeg4 at that resolution under the Computer export or the Archive export ;)

If you really have to have it as a WMV then you are stuck using a 3rd party converter... There are plenty of them out there!

One we have used and can recommend: Any Video Converter HERE

FYI: not available in the 301B version either although H.264 at 720 X 480 is

So I should convert it? It wouldn't be true 720x480 recorded gameplay. I edit in wmm so it wouldn't look right but hey it's fine for now. But when I move up to Game Cap or the PLus, I expect to be to export @ 720x480p in wmv or higher.

I figured out a solution, I just changed the profiles in Easy VHS to DVD folders and added 720 X 480 it's all good now

My Computer>Program Files> Easy VHS to DVD> Profiles. I just went to Computer and under WMV I added 720x480 now I can export at 720x480p

What OS re you running?

Please explain a bit more what you are doing. I do not see any option to change Profiles

I fished around and see what you are doing...

Not sure I would recommend this for all users as it may have untold consequences if mistakes are made editing the Profiles.xml file :glare:

Likewise it may not work on all installed versions!

Here goes:

In XP

or Win7

MAKE A COPY! Then Edit:

I chose the 'Computer' - WMV - and added the 720 X 480

It now shows in EVD 3 (the one I am running)

Process a file

As far as your other Topic ~ TRY A DIFFERENT SOURCE!

Use a VCR or a DVD Player or even a camcorder. Does it flicker as well?
