Video Wave Crashes

Question

Hello, I bought Roxio Creator 2012 back in Dec of 2011. I had no problems with it. I burned hundreds of DVD's. Then Roxio released an update in late February and after I installed the update now I'm having problems. Every time I try and burn a DVD, when it hits to 5, 19, or 25 percent. It states video wave is no longer responding and it crashes. I'm getting very upset now, cause I've read some of the other forums here to see if other peoples solutions will work for me and it hasn't. I've waited for the next update which was a few days ago nothing, I've updated Realtek, I perform a repaired this morning, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled. NOTHING!!! I'm starting to regret getting Roxio and maybe I've should of gone with Adobe's software. This is my last time trying to get this to work again before I throw this in the trash. Too bad too cause I like editing and creating my DVD's with this program. Please help!!! I'm running out of patience.

At this time there is no update for 2012...

Since you "have burned hundreds of DVD's", it is possible that your burner has deteriorated and doesn't work as well as it used to...

Still, about the only thing you might try would be to do the Prep Steps to the letter!

Then start the install of the Suite, only pick Repair when it is offered.

See what that does for you, then we may have to dive into your burner and media.

As there have been no updates for C2012 I am wondering what "update" you installed in February. There has been no mention of any anywhere that I can recall
