Proxy Manager Has Stopped

I was finally able to get the software to load after finding a solution on this board. I now have another problem. When I click on the icon to open the software I get a message that says: Proxy Manager has stopped." I have version Build: 201B23A and am trying to run it on Wondows 7. I was able to close that box during one of my many tries. I was also able to stream some videos, but it appeared they may have been saved to Windows media. Could Windows media be conflicting with this software? When I tried to burn to a disk I gould not get the p[roper screen to come up. Now that I have re-booted I can not get past the "proxy manager" issue.

You installed the software didn't reboot and the software worked somewhat?

 

You finally rebooted the PC and now it won't work?

 

Doesn't it tell you to reboot after installation?

I followed your instructions. When I clicked to open the progran it starts to open and then the same message (Proxy Manager stopped working) comes up.When I open "problem details" it says:

Please help! This has been a very bad experince with this product. I have struggled for almost 24 hours over a several day period and it still does not work!!!!!!!!!!

I did not think so, but by searching on the name Roxio I located what appears to be a program called Roxio CinemaNow. It is listed in my program list as CinemaNow, but when I do a search on Roxio it comes up as "Roxio CinemaNow." I also found a program called Roxio Express labeler. Which I thought loaded with the with the Easy VHS to DVD.

They probably came with V2D.

I double checked the CinemaNow Media manager program. It was installed on 09-19-2010, probably when the computer was made. Your most recent instructions did not work. Now when I open the program the Proxy Manager has stopped working message stills comes up. Sometimes you can close it, but when the program loads it turns on my HP Web cam!!!! Not sure what else to do at this point. The computer is now running slow and freezing up.

Well the web cam is a capture device so when you use the Roxio program you want to disable the web cam.

 

I would remove the PC manufactured Roxio software if you don't want need it?

 

Then repeat the steps above.
