Game Capture For Consoles, Not For Pc

BurnLikeIce

Question

Looking throughout the forums, it appears I am one of very few that have this problem but...

I bought Roxio Game Capture thinking I would be able to record my console gameplay as well as my PC gameplay. Every video available related to Roxio Game Capture and Roxio PC Game Capture show the same software. The only apparent difference is the dropdown box that allows users to select the input for recording; and NOWHERE on Roxio's website addresses the fact that these products are mutually exclusive. It was only first explained to me after a 30-minute conversation with a Technical Support representative that was clearly insufficiently trained.

Carrying forward with my point, it seems to me that the only difference is the necessary driver that would allow for capture of PC screen. By not including this in the $99US Roxio Game Capture, they insure that those of us who game on both console and the PC spend an additional $50US for the ability to record both.

I am a highly dissatisfied customer in regards to both the products sold and the service/technical assistance available to a customer after purchase. I would love to have this product work as I expected it to but I'll not be holding my breath; I'll not be purchasing the "sister" product to Roxio Game Capture; and it's unlikely I'll purchase a Roxio product in the future.

For those like me, I hope you are aware of these aspects of your product before you make the decision to purchase.

I think it is clearly shown/stated on the Roxio site http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/game-capture/default.html
