The program worked fine on my neighbors computer as it wouldn't work on my laptop with the parity issue, couldn't install on my machine (as noted above)as my cdrom was hooped and had to wait to go to town to purchase a new cdrom which I did yesterday it installed fine, but when I click on the easy vhf to dvd 3 plus icon i get a "program quit working", I uninsstalled and reinstalled twice as suggested by roxio support with the same results

Did you really buy a CdROM? It of course cannot be used to burn a DVD. It also has nothing to do with your parity error.

Why did you start another thread with the same problem? Stick with the other thread and answer the questions.

it would not work on my laptop as it has very little ram and this issue has nothing to do with the other post, I bought a new cdrom for my home computer as the cdrom quit working , so in order to install on the computer I needed a working cdrom in order to install on the computer which it is now installed on but will not start, different problem, different computer

I think that the OP had his optical drive go bad and he replaced it. I'm not sure if he bought a cd reader, a CDreader with DVD read capabilities or other.

I'm interested in all the hard drives you have on the computer. Are they separate drives or are they partitions? In either case, there are soem problems with some with very little free space.

Are you trying to install the program on your "C" (system drive)? Have you done any maintenance on it like defrag? If the hard drive is badly fragmented, the program will have problems running because it has to search all over for the individual fragments of the of program.

I am fully aware of his optical drive problem. He had already been asked in post #4 "Did you really buy a CdROM? It of course cannot be used to burn a DVD"

I also asked the same question as the user had asked in post #4, and received a personal derogatory remark from Patrickfam2002 .

My intent was to maybe get a response from him on what he had purchased, as he had responded, but did not answer that specific question.

It would appear that his comment to me has been deleted (I hope he is banned). Its in the "bin"

So bottom line, I could care less what he installed, and am out of here.

I have 2 500gb drives on the above computer, I have it set to defrag every friday so that shouldn't be an issue, one of the drives is partitioned and one is not. the program seemed to install with no problem, but like i said earlyier it says stopped working when the icon is clicked, the box says windows 7 32bit compatable and this computer meets and exceededs all other requirements, at a loss.

I purchased a new dvdrw as the old one quit working and was showing it had some issue ,so I replaced with a new one, it loaded and ran on my old pentium laptop but would only copy for maybe 10 minutes and then I would get a blue screen with a parity error , I did however installed on my neighbors computer to test and it work fine, his computer is roughly as old as this one but of corse I don't want to ask to spend 50 hours or so copying all my old videos..any suggestions would be helpfull and apreciated as I am not new to computers but far from being a computer tecky...thanks for any effort to help resolve this issue

You are probably going to flame me nut I am really trying to help.

You did not answer if you were installing the program to your system drive which you have defragmented recently.

There are too many "its" in the above post; I can't follow it and I doubt if anyone else can. If I read it, I can tell what is referring to what and what box you are refering to and more.

Age of a computer is not necessarily a qualification. Anytime we get a post that "it meets alls the specifications," we find that it does not. If you don't know what to post, use the free "Speccy" program to ge the information on your computer.

Did you ever get the memory error straightened out?
