I have an older MacBook Pro dual core intel 2.6 GHz with 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM running OS X ver 10.5.8. I am burning to a Writemaster by LaCie. This is one of the LightScribe burners. I was burning to a DVD R. I opened the Toast application dragged the files to the burn window and pushed the "burn" button. When the application was searching for media I got the afore mentioned error. By going into and out of the application and removing and inserting the media I was finally able to get it to burn to the selected media. But it was not a smooth process. I have no idea what to do next to resolve this. As one might say the application was "buggy". Thanks in advance for your thoughts. One other thing, the LightScribe function to burn the CD label works just fine.
