Sound Distortion

Whenever I record gameplay, the sound will sometimes distort and speed up. I adjusted the volume for the Roxio GameCap and even lowered my game volume to help maintain the volume for my recording so it wouldn't mess up. I don't have any programs nor scan softwares running when I run Roxio. I even reinstalled Roxio. The only area I can record gameplay is in my room, where the internet connection is low, but manageable.

Previously, I did a game recording with Roxio and it worked just fine without no sound distortions and such, but I forgot how that was set up since I have attempted to record gameplay without any sound distortions so many times.

Here are my system specs:

Operating System:

Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.

System Model: Latitude D830

BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A05

Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T7800 @ 2.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz

Memory: 2048MB RAM

Available OS Memory: 2038MB RAM

Page File: 2916MB used, 1159MB available

Windows Dir: C:\Windows

DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Try Recording in AVI and see of that fixes the problem

I did try recording in AVI, but still the same results of sound distortion.

Scratch that, I recently recorded a couple of gameplay footage in AVI, and I don't hear any sound distortions in any of them. I'll let you guys know if the problem continues.

EDIT: My recent recordings have no sound problems when I record in AVI. Thanks. :)
