Interface Error

Suddenly, I am unable to burn CDs using Toast 10 and Toast 11. I am using a Mac Pro with the most current Lion operating system and Memorex CDs. The disc write fails with the following message:

 

Interface Error: -32030

The connection is not stable

 

I am able to burn CDs using the Macintosh finder, but not toast?

Are you using Toast 11.0.4 or 11.0.5?

I'm on iMac (late 2013), with MacOS X 10.9.1 and Toast 11.2 ; I've an "Erreur d'interface 5. La connexion n'est pas stable." (Error interface 5. The connection is not stable.) when I want burn a DVD (Sony ou Fuji…).

Before it was perfect on my old iMac (2008).

My burner is an external Storeva Blu-ray/DVD with USB 3.0.

If I use LiquidCD, I don't have problem to burn.

Try a burn speed other than "Best". Try "Save as Disc Image" (File menu) and burn the resulting .toast file using the Image File setting in the Copy window. See if there is a firmware update available for the Storeva drive.
