Runtime Errors

csg370

Question

Just bought Roxio a day or two ago. Whenever I hit "Capture", this error pops up.

Also, sometimes, I get an error with the following text:

-------------------------------

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program F...

R6205

- pure virtual function cell

-------------------------------

I don't know how to look up PC specs, I'm using a Compaq 515 Laptop with Win 7. I can run plenty of good programs, I should be able to run this as well.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Click #17 in my signature for help with your system specs.

Have you ran a repair on your installation?

Did you install the software with all programs shut down including antivirus/firewall?

Thanks very much for your help!

PC Specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1

Processor: AMD AthlonX2 DualCore QL-66 2.20GHz

RAM: 2.00 GB (1.75 GB usable)

System Type: 32-bit Operating System

Display Adapters: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

DVD/CD-ROM drives: hp DVDRAM GT20L ATA Device

Sound, video and game controllers: High Definition Audio Device

I did run a repair, nothing was fixed.

The only antivirus program I have running is the Microsoft Security Essentials.

Thanks again, I've been continously buying and having problems with different game capture devices.

It would be nice if I could get this one to work, lol.

Your a bit low on Ram. Minimum system requirements is 2GB of Ram.

Have you updated your ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics driver?

Your running your operating system on a hard drive?

If so have you ran disk defrag lately?

SSD drives don't need to defrag.

Is there anything I can do about the RAM? Am I screwed if I don't/can't do anything?

I searched and found no updates/drivers for the Radeon HD 3200.

I'm currently running defrag. Whether or not it helps, I still haven't run it in a long time.

You can buy more RAM but that may not help much.

You must not have looked hard for updated drivers, I see one from Late March 2012. Go here. Follow the instructions.
