So can u refer me to a computer that i should buy that meets the requirements please? im bad with computer so basically i have no clue what you are talking about.

Read this (link). Think of it as you needing a good quality gaming rig. A couple hundred dollar computer will not do it. You need the faster CPU, more memory and usually a video card. No one will suggest a computer until you specify a budget of how much to spend and then several computer hardware specification could be suggested

Again, just to make sure, you bought the version that has the hardware capture device, right. The other version is software only used to capture games played on the computer itself.

Did you buy it from Roxio or a big box store? You may be out of luck trying to return the device and software. If you bought it at a big box store, and someone told you it would work, you can try to take it bad because of bad advice.

200 won't do it 500 to 700 probably would allow you to buy a pretty good computer. Now do you want a laptop or desktop? Look for something with an I3 CPU (or better) , 2-6 G memory and a good video card/chip. Do you want a display if you want a desktop? What size? Will you be using internal storage or external for all those captured videos? Do you want new or refurbished where you can save some money?

Look at some of the on-line stores - Dell new or refurbished , Levono new or outlet, Acer, etc.

Look at some computers that fit your budget and that you like and then come back here and we'll tell you if they are OK:).

IS alienware good? i might buy a used alienware mx11? Can u check it out and see if it is good?

They are pretty fancy computers. The company was bought out by Dell several years ago. It is supposed to be their gaming hardware. Where are you going to find an Alieware mx11 for $500? How used is it? Do you get a guarantee? What are the computer specs?

There are numerous posts, in the Roxio forums, where folks with Alienware computers are having problems. Some have fixed their problems with a motherboard firmware update.

So, it is good that you won't be getting one.
