Even Roxio warns you in their Knowledge Base Article on 'Defragment your hard drive'.

 

IMPORTANT: If you have a solid state drive (SSD) you do not need to defragment your drive.

Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements. In fact, it doesn'r come close. It is a single core processor. Did you read those BEFORE buying the program? You are getting the skips and the jumps because of it. You cannot adjust it.

 

Read this aabout CPUs. Yours is very low on the list.

i did but this is a replacement for my broken laptop, out of interest do these specs work

Are these temps at idle or Game Play, Capture, Encoding?
