Does Creator 2012 Fix 2011 Issues?

Anasazi

Question

Despite suggestions on this forum to fix issues with my Videowave crashes, continued problems lead me to believe it is not just my laptop overheating since they occur when I have just turned it on, or when it's not hot since I now have a chill mat and little fan. I also did everything suggested to improve my laptop performance, including deleting lots of files.

My primary use is to create music videos from clips I have shot with my Sony NEX-VG10 videocam, to be posted on my Youtube channel and played on public access tv. All I need to do is trim, add titles & simple dissolve transitions, occasionally use the pan & zoom feature or add music. I don't need more features, just want fixes since it still crashes too often.

Does Creator 2012 fix any issues or should I not spend my money? I had bought Avid Studio but it had too many options, was very time consuming and cumbersome in comparison with Roxio, so returned it for a refund.

If not, then I will post my issues in the hopes of finding solutions.

Thanks!

We never really reached a conclusion with your other Topic, HERE... got distracted and off topic ;)

It was pointed out that your laptop is at the bottom or possibly under the minimum requirements.

It is not a matter of RAM (very little needed) but of Video Card  You don't have one, you have a chip, and most editors rely heavily on them to carry the load!

What you might want to try is setting VideoWave to use SOFTWARE to Render with. That may be enough!

Try that for a little while and let us know ;) But we may want to do a little repair as well.

(some time you will have to explain the Handle you chose to use here <_< )

Yes, off topic between yourselves it seemed I wasn't permitted to respond, not that I really wanted to! (lol)

Thanks for offering a practical solution, which is all I was ever really looking for! Will try and see how that works out.

To answer your q:

My Youtube channel is: AnasaziCliffs99 in case you're interested in seeing the final product of my Roxio use. Used to drive to AZ, NM, CO, UT over spring break (when I was working at a MS) and loved climbing the cliff dwellings made by Anasazi Native Americans. My last name is too common and was worried about spammers and hackers if I use my full name, which has happened to my bf when he friended too many people he didn't know on FB.

Thanks again!

Thanks, Brendon for not offering the usual sales pitch I would get at a store or possibly the Roxio website which is where I initially was looking into. Looks like someone who responded to my initial post has a possible solution.

Thanks again!

I have visited a few of the Anisazi ruins... Kind of leaves you in awe ;)
