Not Able To Copy

Hello all,

 

I have the Roxio CD & DvD burning software to be able to copy discs. However I am having problems with the program not being able to read the disc. I've tried the copy option, then I tried the create image option. In both instances it came back stating that it was unable to read the disc. However I know the discs are good as they are being read on a DvD player, they are able to be played on the computer to be watched.

 

The discs are DvD+R, and were burned through a dvd deck burner straight from the video camera. I than want to be able to copy the discs to create multiples. I am a coach so am burning copies of games to give to the players to watch.

 

This is what comes up after trying to utilize the copy/image options.

 

"There was a problem reading the disc you are trying to copy. Please make sure your disc is free of fingerprints, scratches, or dust then try again."

 

When I expand the advanced tab I get the following information:

The disc is brand new, just taken out of package. Disc works to be able to watch on computer or through dvd player deck.

 

What gives with this program?

Most likely you need to Finialize or Close the disc in the Burner that created it... although with +R it usually isn't needed...

 

As far as the program, you are using the Copy Disc part?

 

 

Check that out. If it still isn't working, look at the disc with Windows Explorer and tell us what Folders are on it.

What format does the 'dvd deck burner' burn to?

 

DVD Video or some VR format?

 

Model # where we could look up the owners manual?
