Question

Any help will be apprciated---Roxio Creator Pro 2012

I an running Win 7 Prenium, 2.30GHZ Processor,64 Bit, 4 GB Ram,1280x768 Resuliton--Smaler 100%, 32 Bit True Color

When I open creator----Video/Movie---Copy & Convert---I get the error message---cannot initialize engine. please reinstall software.

About 6 times I have download and install PX Engine, removed the CD/DVD driver and used the installation repair. I cannot correct this problem and used the program.

When I open creator (from fresh with no other program running)-----Video/Movie---Edit Video-Advanced-----I get the error message---The task you are attempting to initiate require VideoWave, but it is already running. I am sure it is not running because all I did was open the program, go to Video/Movie and clik on Edit Video-Advanced.

I have no problem getting disk copy to work.

I am having other problems with the program and I am considering returning it.

Thanks

To check if Videowave is running, start the Task Manager and select the Processes tab. If you see Videowave in the process list, select it and click End Process.

Your Creator suite is not properly installed. You need to follow the Roxio Preparation Steps meticulously before installing. The other steps you mentioned are only used after a good install, when particular problems show up.

I followed the installation instruction as much as I could. I do not know how to update the firmware for my blue ray disk drive. It is an acer labtop and device manager the DVD drive is listed as HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CT21N SATA CdROM Device--therefore I do no know the manufacturer.

I uninstalled and installed creator Pro 2012 a number of times and the this problem was corrected(When I open creator (from fresh with no other program running)-----Video/Movie---Edit Video-Advanced-----I get the error message---The task you are attempting to initiate require VideoWave, but it is already running. I am sure it is not running because all I did was open the program, go to Video/Movie and clik on Edit Video-Advanced.)

But still have the problem below.

When I open creator----Video/Movie---Copy & Convert---I get the error message---cannot initialize engine. please reinstall software.

Thanks for any help
