Question

I have Roxio Creator 2009 and loved it... Made several DVD's and other stuff...

I also purchased Roxio VHS to DVD. When I download that disc it uninstalled Roxio Creator 2009. When I try to reinstall I get this message "Please wait while setup loads. This could take several minutes". It will run for maybe a minute and then shut off. I have tried everything that I have read on other peoples issues even uninstalled with a site that was offered and it tells me Roxio 2009 cannot be found. I had sent them a message and they tell me the reason there was a withdraw of support was because of 2 new versions that are availabe, 2012 and 2012 Pro. If anyone can give me any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. The thought of having to purchase another program and running into the same problem in a few years is not fun. Or is there a program that doesn't have these types of issues?

Probably not.

Have you tried to use Windows Restore your computer to before when you installed VHS toDVD? Do you have a back up of your hard drive that may not have been overwritten? Is it possible that you have a disc or copy of a disc for Creator 2009? Did you buy VHS to DVD just for the USB device since the programs in Creator 2009 should allow you to capture with the right input.

Download the free 'Revo Uninstaller" The PRO has a 30 day free trial. That program is supposed to unstall half installed programs. I haven't tried that but have used the free vesion (no support) for over a year and it works great. Use it in the Moderate Mode only.

Call Roxio Tech Service to see if they can help. With something like this they may have some things you can do.
