How Do I Split A Video Clip

Someone clciked the solved button which hid all the previous posts. I unhid it.

 

Are you asking if you can make copies of parts of the clip for use in another project , then yes. Split the original clips where you want the split. Save thaat as a project. Name it somethign you can remember (All). Now select the part of the clip you want to work with and right clcik on it. Select copy. Close that project and open a new one. Go to the timeline and selet paste.

 

(or you can use Windows ( CTRL C and CTRL V) to copy and paste. Save that with the name you want. If you have more, just reopen that "All" project.

 

If that is not what you are asking, then perhaps a little more detail. You used the term trim. Is that what you are using rather than split?

I hit the solved button cos I found out how to do it through another thread, apologies.

I didnt realise that in order to split the video, you needed to be in "TimeLine" mode and not "StoryLine".
