Roxio capture for PC. This is designed to capture games you play on your PC. There is no capture hardware. Solutions to problems with either may not be the same. Which one do you have? By the way, thanks for at least posting the computer you have; most people get upset if we ask for that information. Now we know that you have a multi-core i3 processor. Download and run the free Revo Uninstaller in the MODERATE mode only. Update your computer using these instructions (yes, even if you have a new computer). Reinstall.with the anti-virus off. Never use a registry cleaner.

UBurnFirst
and did you try the fix suggested? I'm having the same problem, I've tried everything, here's the error I receive "The certificate file is missing or has been corrupted. Please re-install it." And I've done this multiple times, I've done a clean sweep of everything Roxio on my computer. Still nothing solves my problem.

Did you update your computer as suggested? Please post your computer manufacturer and complete model number just in case your computer is border line to run the application. Use the free "Revo Uninstaller" in the Moderate Mode ONLY. It will use the programs built in uninstaller and then search your computer for safe to remove registry entries and folders. Select to allow them to be deleted. If you do it right, it will work. I have used it several times for myself and for other posters as far as I know it has failed only once and I'm guessing that the other poster didn't follow the instructions.
