drrthree
Should I convert my AVCHD (.m2ts) files to H.264 to get the best quality or 1080i? I will import the files into iMovie '11 for editing and then burn to Blu-ray.
tsantee
If you have Toast 11.0.6 or the 11.1 beta choose the 1080p setting in the AppleTV preset. This will be a h.264 file which is ideal for use with iMovie. If you are using Toast 11.0.4 then I suggest the h.264 preset but choose the 1080p setting. You might also check if iMovie supports importing from your camera (which either will be as an h.264 or Apple Intermediate Codec file).
