So, last night I bought the Game Cap from Sam's Club. It was their last one and they currently have no intent to restock.
Here's my dilemma: The package did not have any software in the package. It came with a component cable, USB cable, and the game cap unit itself. I'm assuming someone with sticky fingers got to it before I did and lifted the software. It could also have been returned and the store thought everything was there.
Now I have no drivers/software and they don't seem to be widely available. I tried contacting support, but the site says they can't respond without me registering the product. When I try to register the product, it says the S/N obtained from the back of the device is incorrect format. Hopefully they'll still respond, but I'm not holding my breath.
So, anyone have the drivers? There shouldn't be any reason they don't have them posted on the site like every other device mfg's site, but alas, I don't see them.
I WOULD like the 32 and 64 bit drivers as I have 2 different systems. I'm hoping the 32 bit laptop has enough power to record, but if I have to, I'll move the 64 bit desktop into the same room.
If I can't get the drivers, I guess I'll just return it and look for something else. I'd love to have the software too, but I'm figuring I can use Virtual Dub or something along those lines instead.
