Deleting All Movie Files After Converting And Burning

Question

I am trying to convert files directly from the video camera through Roxio video capture to iMovie and then to iDVD. I have run into many problems, but now my problem is I have several copies on my hard drive and they are eating up my hard drive. Where do I find all of the copies of files and the various extensions to delete them so I can start anew.

My last problem has been the audio sync problem. I just want to make sure I get rid of the out of sync copies from imovie and idvd before I start again.

Which version of the capture application do you have? Is it Roxio Video Capture or is it Easy VHS to DVD Capture? Depending on which one there is a folder in your Movies folder that should have the original capture. When it gets imported to iMovie, then iMovie makes a new copy which it puts in its folder. iDVD then needs to encode it to another format for DVD. You can delete them by either deleting the iDVD project file or by choosing Delete encoded items from the iDVD Advanced menu.
