No Audio On Movies In Roxio Creator 2012

I'm having problems with the audio in Roxio after my computer did an update. I only get working sound when i play direct from dvd, but if i want to watch anything from the hard disk I get picture, but no sound. I have also tried doing an update on the software, but i just keep getting the same error message saying, im not connected to the internet or the FLEXnet Connect servers are currently unavailable. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get round this problem?

What update was done to your computer? You have to supply a bit more info if you want help
